Ingredient Highlights

Apple cider vinegar is full of enzymes and good bacteria. It contains acetic acid, which has been shown to help lower blood pressure.

Cayenne pepper is a good source of beta carotene and antioxidants that support the immune system. The key compound in cayenne called capsaicin is also cardioprotective, anti-inflammatory, helps prevent kidney stones and speed up metabolism, and has beneficial effects on the GI system.

A wonderful source of fiber and vitamin K, celery can help maintain blood pressure that is already in a normal range.

Enzymes in fresh lemon juice accelerate the digestive process. Even though lemon juice is acidic, it actually has an alkalizing effect on the body.

Pure olive oil is high in nutrients including vitamins D, E, K, and A as well as omega-3 fatty acids. For the highest quality, look for organic extra virgin olive oil in dark glass bottles or tins that have an expiry date.

Organixx OrganiGreens is a revolutionary organic green juice powder made with 14 sprouted & fermented superfoods and botanicals for maximum nutrition.

Raw honey is a good source of many vitamins and is rich in antioxidants. Its antioxidant and anti-bacterial properties can help improve overall immune function.

One of many nutrient-dense leafy greens, spinach can improve digestion, flush bodily toxins, and promote skin health.

Strawberries contain ellagic acid and a large number of polyphenols that help rid the body of carcinogenic substances and inhibit the growth of cancer.

Walnuts are a good plant source of omega-3 fatty acids. Eating foods containing omega-3s can help cleanse your lungs and keep your pulmonary system working effectively.

  1. So, I received an e-mail directing me to this particular recipe page. In the e-mail it says, "Be sure to watch all the way through to catch my tip on a great way to combat heartburn – it’s a quick and easy solution using one of the unnamed ingredients of this salad!

    Have fun in the kitchen!

    Katrina"

I like the video. I buy the products. What I don't like is being told that something exists that either does not or is made so hard to find, that it might as well not exist. Therefore before accusing of being slightly mislead, I have to ask where that heartburn, one ingredient not part of the salad, is stipulated?

    • Hi J.A.!

Thanks for reaching out. The ingredient I am referring to is simply apple cider vinegar (organic, unfiltered, that includes the mother). In the video I mention that whenever I have heart burn, I add 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to a glass of water and drink it down. It helps every time. I hope this helps answer your question.

      Cheers,

      Katrina
