Ultra-Light, Rich Night Cream
Ingredients
- 2 to 2-1/2 tablespoons (30-45 ml) jojoba oil
- 3 tablespoons (40 gm) shea butter
- 1 tablespoon (10 gm) cocoa butter
- 1-1/2 tablespoons (20 gm) avocado oil
- 10 drops carrot seed oil
- 10 drops of frankincense essential oil
- 10 drops of lavender essential oil
- 5 drops of Organixx Magi-Complexx essential oil blend
Instructions
- In a double boiler, melt the shea butter and cocoa butter gently, avoiding direct heat. Combine with remaining ingredients in large glass bowl and, using a hand mixer, blend for around 7 minutes to add lots of oxygen to the mixture.
- Sit bowl in freezer for 10-15 minutes (no more), then blend with hand mixer again for about 7-8 minutes until it reaches a creamy consistency.
- Using a clean spatula, transfer cream into sterilized glass jars and put the lid on tight. Store in a cool, dry spot.

Are your oils all un diluted. Are they therapeutic grade? How can I know for certain it is a
pure therapeutic grade oil of only one variety ?
Customer Service says
Thanks for your question, Ruthanne.
Organixx Essential Oils are undiluted. To add, “therapeutic grade” is a marketing term. There is no government body or agency that grades or certifies essential oils, and no formally approved grading standard that’s used consistently throughout the essential oils industry. At Organixx, we prefer to state that we stand behind our Essential Oils as being of very high quality. Organixx Essential Oils are also USDA-Certified Organic.

Hello
What did s the shelf life of this recipe?
Is it best to refrigerate?
Thank you!!
Customer Service says
Hi Karen, those are excellent questions!
We actually published another article that talks about the preservation of DIY skin care products that you might find helpful: https://ox2022.organixx.com/diy-skin-care/.
To add, refrigeration will help expand the life of this night cream, although it should not be necessary in the short term. Since climates vary, you will need to use your best judgement and discard the product if it smells or seems off. Another idea would be to keep most of it in the fridge and just take out about a week's worth at a time and keep it in a smaller and sealed container.
We hope this helps and let us know how yours turned up!
